For many years, we worked closely with Orsay, handling everything from organizing castings to styling, hair, and makeup for their e-commerce photoshoots. We shoot pictures for print campaigns “Reactivity”, featured in Orsay stores worldwide. The company eventually declared bankruptcy due to financial struggles, marking the end of our collaboration.
A surprising twist came when the Orsay brand was acquired by Gordon Brothers, a global advisory and investment firm known for helping companies navigate change and unlock new opportunities. Their expertise in revitalizing brands opened a new chapter for Orsay. To our delight, we got appointed to produce campaign visuals for Orsay’s upcoming collection.
The first photoshoot under the brand’s new US ownership we arranged in Wrocław, with a relatively small-scale approach. However, with plans for restructuring and selling Orsay, the next campaign required a greater scope. Prague became the ideal location, aligning with the creative vision of Orsay’s art directors, for campaign pictures and videos.
Producing such a campaign required quite an extensive logistics. We arranged travels and accommodations for a team of over 25 people, cast models, arranged location, and handled set design. Turning the gallery into a shooting spot turned out to be another challenge. The exhibits required the artist to personally oversee their handling, so we brought him to Prague.
Compared to handling the logistical tasks, executing the photo and video brief seemed a piece of cake. Over three days of intense work, we delivered 45 branding photos and over 20 videos. The campaign turned out to be successful and effectively highlighted Orsay’s refreshed and refined vision. Shortly thereafter, the Orsay brand found a new owner.
Adding a poetic twist to the story, the new Orsay headqauters was… Prague, and after having shifted to local agency first, It was an epilogue we carried out further shoots for Orsay, under Czech management… So we finally ended up working for 3 owners of one brand! And maybe you want to see how we handled 3 capital cities in 3 days for another client?
